Frequently Asked Questions

Where do we meet for sessions?

I currently meet the majority of students via zoom. I also have a shared office space in Pasadena and in downtown LA where I will sometimes meet with students and use as sites for proctoring practice tests. For virtual sessions, I utilize document cameras, virtual software, and a webcam to allow for students to interact with me as if we were having a in-person 1-on-1 tutoring session.

Do you guarantee results?

I guarantee that any learning done with my assistance will be significantly easier, faster and more resilient to forgetting. I guarantee that I will be able to explain difficult concepts to students in a way that they have not considered before. So that you have a better idea of what I mean, if you have not received tutoring from me before, please contact me for a free 1-hour session.

Test-prep companies like Princeton Review, Elite, and ACI guarantee results, so why should I choose to work with you?

Test-prep companies will exaggerate results and their guarantee is usually a free retaking of the course (but why would you take the course again if it didn't work the first time?). A lot of students do not reach their potential not because of the access to material, but in the delivery in it. My services allow students to fully use every moment they spend studying because ALL LESSONS are tailored to each student.

Do you only have workshops for writing personal statements?

As of right now, yes. In the future, I hope to hold topic-specific workshops on aspects of SAT, so please check back for updates!

Do I need to supply my own textbook and materials?

The tuition covers all materials. I will piece together a program that best suits the needs of each client. I have a large database of textbooks, worksheets, youtube videos, and practice tests for all the subjects that I work with students in. There is no need to buy textbooks or preparation books (i.e. Princeton Review, Barrons, etc).
