Desmos Online Graphing Tool

This is an amazing site for any student who is studying any sort of graphing. From graphing the simplest of linear equation to graphing the most elaborate secant graph, this tool is more useful for learning purposes than any graphing calculator that I’ve come across. The only con is that you can't use it on your test (unless you have a very progressive teacher/school).

Kutasoftware: Worksheet Generator

This is a great site to get worksheets for a wide range of concepts, from graphing linear functions (Algebra) to finding derivatives (Calculus). Many teachers use this website for worksheets! Worksheets also come with answers.  Best part, it’s free!

Korpisworld: Calculus Learning Materials

This is a website created by a very passionate teacher. I go here if a student needs more practice with a specific concept in Calculus. This site contains several practice tests that would serve as excellent preparation for an AP-level Calculus class. The worksheets and tests come with answers.

The Problem site: Worksheet Generator

If you’re trying to self-prepare for a big test and your textbook just doesn’t have enough problems for you to practice with, check out this site. It can generate unlimited problems, of varying difficulty, for a wide assortment of concepts: adding fractions, synthetic division, system of equations, factoring, simplifying radical expressions, etc. I know you're going to ask this... Yes, the worksheets come with answers!

Quizlet

Create your own flashcards that you won’t ever lose! Good for a wide range of subjects.

Top favorite features of Quizlet as told to me by my students:

  1. Can use on smartphone during downtime

  2. Can create different types self-assessments (multiple choice, matching, free response)

  3. Games (save us from meteors!)that help make studying a lot less tedious

Online Classes via BYU

Whether you're trying to make up for a bad grade in a class you've taken or if you weren't able to get the classes you want, online classes are an excellent option! Be careful though, not all online courses are UC-approved. Double-check by checking this website! There are many options for online classes available to you, but I've found this particular source to be affordable and well-designed.

— -Bewildered Student

Because graphing calculators are allowed on SAT/ACT, I should use a graphing calculator right?

Recommended Calculator for SAT/ACT

"Less is more"

- Robert Browning

I recommend this scientific calculator for the SAT/ACT because it has all the functions needed for the problems that you'll see on the SAT/ACT AND it allows you to solve problems quickly. Just because graphing calculators are allowed does not make them the better tool for these two tests.
